Privacy Policy

Loopwise (“the app”) is a row counter, a set of calculators and a pattern studio (Pattern Lab) for crochet and knitting. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

Using Loopwise without an account

You can use every counter, calculator and pattern tool without an account. In that case we collect nothing: your projects, counts, notes, patterns and settings are saved only in the app’s storage on your own device. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, this information is deleted. You can save a backup file from Settings → Save backup; that file goes to your device’s downloads and is under your control.

If you create an account

Creating an account is optional. If you do, we store:

• your email address and a scrambled (hashed) form of your password, which we cannot read;
• the Pattern Lab projects you save, so you can open them on your other devices: the pattern text, its title and size, and where you stopped;
• how many custom patterns you made this month and which plan you have.

We use your email only to sign you in and to send messages you ask for, such as a password reset link. We do not sell or share it. You can delete your account at any time from Pattern Lab → My projects → Delete account; this deletes your email, password and saved projects from our server.

Payments

Paid plans are sold by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles your payment details and sales tax. We never see your card number. Lemon Squeezy tells us your plan and its renewal date so the app can unlock it. Their privacy policy applies to the payment itself.

Permissions

The app may use vibration (to confirm each count) and may keep the screen awake while a project is open. Both can be turned off in Settings. It does not use the camera, microphone, contacts or location.

Internet use

The app works without an internet connection. When a connection is available, it may download updates to the app itself from our website, and, if you are signed in, sync your saved projects. Our web host may record standard technical logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security.

Photos

The product photos in Pattern Lab are AI-generated images (Google Gemini) that show what each design looks like.

Analytics and advertising

The app currently contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking. If this changes, this policy will be updated before the change is released, and the app will ask for consent where the law requires it.

Children

Accounts are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
